Establish His Kingdom

Establish His Kingdom

What does it really mean that God is King? In this sermon, we explore the historical books of the Bible to see how God established His kingdom—leading Israel in battle, giving them laws, and providing for their needs. He was the perfect King, yet the people demanded a human ruler “like the other nations.” God gave them what they asked for: Saul, David, and a long line of kings who would all ultimately fail. Through the ups and downs of Joshua’s conquests, the cycle of the Judges, and the reign of imperfect kings, one truth becomes crystal clear: what humanity desperately needs is a King who will never die, never fail, and never abandon us. God promised David an eternal kingdom, and that promise is fulfilled in King Jesus. Today, we still face the temptation to follow human leaders—podcasters, celebrities, politicians—instead of submitting to the only perfect King. This message reminds us that while God works through imperfect people and situations, only Jesus is worthy to be the King of our hearts. Will you bow your knee to the eternal King?
