The Burden

We’re starting a new series through the book of Nehemiah, the story of one ordinary man with a burden to rebuild Jerusalem’s broken down walls, and the God who made it possible.
In this first message, we trace how Nehemiah fits into the bigger story of Scripture: from Israel’s exile in Babylon, through the prophecies of Isaiah, to God keeping every promise along the way. We watch Nehemiah receive devastating news about Jerusalem and respond not with despair, but with prayer, fasting, and confession, a model for how we bring our own hard truths before God.
